She graduated from Somali University Medical School, the University of La Sapienza in Roma, and Saskatchewan University in Saskatoon, SK.

May-Marie Duwai-Sowa Director

May-Marie Duwai-Sowa is recognized as one of the 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women. She is dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, inclusion and social change.

She is the first Special Envoy, International Relations, Trade, and Investment representing the Government of Sierra Leone in Canada and internationally.

Hodan Ibrahim has cemented herself as a prominent member of the Hamilton Somali community through her dedication to child welfare and safety for many years.
